DPCON KICKED ASS!DPcon was this past weekend. Due to the lack of contact with the outside world I am sorry the page was not updated. However we have tons of stuff for you this evening. First I would like to announce that DPcon was an overwhelming success with 27 people in attendence, and Digital Paint till the break of dawn. We held two tournaments. First of which was a Deathmatch tournament. 1st Place - Murdock[Smurf], 2nd Place - Razor[Rage], 3rd Place - Shoppy[Rage]. The second tournament was a 2 on 2 tourney played on the maps Midnight, ksplat1, and Battle. Murdock and Razor teamed up to take first place. Hellraiser and Picklehead also of Clan Smurf took second place. And DP's own Calrathan and Jitspoe  placed third. Prizes awarded included a 3D card. Big Game Hunter 2, Extreme Paintbrawl, Remington Top Shot, Quake 2 Extremities, 2 DP Mouse pads, 1 5.25 inch floppy drive with software and everyone in attendence will recieve a registration for the server browser Hydra. More on DPcon will come within the next few days. However at this time we do have the bulk of the pictures from DPcon. Click here to view the DPcon Photos!
January 6th, 1999New News CGIYes, I know it was very much needed.... This update will make it write html files so it loads a heck of a lot faster and it will also let you load old news.  Hopefully it'll be up by tomorrow.
January 5th, 1999DPcon UpdateDpcon is this weekend January 9th - 10th and registration has officially closed. We had as many as 35 people register but some plans have changed and it looks like we are down to 28 people now. However this is still the biggest Paintball Lan Party ever =). Bonfilio formerly of Clan Splat will be bringing a digital camera and scanner to DPcon so for all of you that cannot make it, we will try to make you feel like you are there. We will be posting news updates from DPcon as well as many images of the weekend. As you can see from the Picture of the Day, one of the prizes for DPcon will be a limited edition Digital Paint mousepad. We will also have copies of several games by Headgames, as well as registration #'s for the new server browser Hydra. Beta 5 is set to be released at DPcon on saturday night. We will be having a big party to celebrate the release and then will release it to the rest of you on Sunday January 10th.

Digital Paint HonoredYesterday two sites announced the results of recent polls. The first is our wonderful host Dakota and Captured.com. Captured hosted a vote for the "CTF Mod of the year". Digital Paint finished 4th in the voting with well over 50 mods nominated. Congratulations to Weapon's Factory, LMCTF, and Thunder Walker who placed higher then us. And a hearty, better luck next time, to Zoid, who's Threewave CTF placed below Digital Paint.

The other site, Sluggo's Mod Central, hosted a 1998 Best Teamplay Mod reader's vote. Digital Paint placed second in this vote behind Action Quake. We are very proud of our placement in both of these polls and we would like to thank all of you who play this game that make it so much fun. Keep on Painting!
January 2nd, 1999New Map PicassoS8nsson has released his first Digital Paint map making creation. It is entitled Picasso and can be downloaded by itself at the Smurfbot FTP site. Here you can find all 3rd party maps as well as other great Digital Paint Files. Once we have enough 3rd party maps collected we will make another 3rd party map pack for the Digital Paint Files Page.
New Servers!Recently a few new servers have been place online for Digital Paint. The first is "BlackBox: Digital Pb2" at 24.0.169.122 and most recently, "Day of the dead Paintball" at 209.74.31.15.  If anyone hosts any other new Digital Paint servers let me know!
