June 29th, 1999SplatterZoneWvSoulja and some others have gotten SplatterZone set up with a nice page 'n stuff.  Check it out here.
June 28th, 1999Server version 1.52Okay, another MAJOR bug popped up with funnames.  It was a stupid mistake, and I didnt catch it because my funname isnt that long.  Server ops need a new version.http://www.planetquake.com/dl/dl.asp?captured/digitalpaint/v1.52_Win9x,_WinNT.zip
If it's NOT there, get it here. (remember, try the mirrors first... I had half a gig downloaded from me just last night... my ISP wont like that)
ftp://pball.dhs.org/All%20Builds/v1.52%20Win9x,%20WinNT.zip
Linux / Solaris builds are on the way. Thank Sad and Ezrith for it. (It might even fix TCA, but don't count on it)
New release- v1.51Okay, there were a few files missing in the v1.5 client, and the server code had some real glaring, although aestetic bugs.  Both have been fixed, and released under version 1.51, so the 100 some people who downloaded the patch already only have to get this small upgrade.SORRY FOR THE PROBLEMS!If you haven't installed anything new DP oriented in the past few days, likely you need 1.45 to 1.5 upgrade. If you've never played, get the full 1.5 client
If you just got the upgrade/full version yesterday, (compared to the post date of this news) get the upgrade to 1.51 from 1.5.
SERVER OPERATORS -- PLEASE UPGRADE! Maps have been modified, and therefore people with the new client cant play these maps on your OLD SERVER.  I have a linux / solaris build lined up, so just hold your pants on guys.

Once again, it takes a bit to mirror, so if THESE FILES ARENT HERE... get them from pball.dhs.org
ftp://pball.dhs.org/All%20Builds/v1.5%20to%20v1.51%20upgrade.exe
ftp://pball.dhs.org/All%20Builds/v1.45%20to%20v1.51%20upgrade.exe

ftp://pball.dhs.org/All%20Builds/v1.51%20Win9x,%20WinNT.zip
IF YOU NEED THE OLD VERSION OF MIDNIGHT.BSP, GRAB IT FROM ftp://pball.dhs.org/maps/official but KEEP the newer version.
Cool DemowuZZup cal! welp, me and a couple of friends got together last night andmade a lil kick ass demo for digital paint that has real voice andre-camming and EVERYTHING! please post this on the digital paint webpage!!!the demo is located at http://www.decline.com/demented/ it is also mirroredat http://www.decline.com/infinity/ PLEASE POST THIS!!Thanks Cal,RaiN
FilenamesApparently the filenames can't have spaces in them, or they don't get mirrored.  I replaced all the spaces with _'s, so the links on Calrathan's update below should work now.  They'll be in the files section too as soon as I get 'em up.
June 27th, 1999Version 1.5 ReleasedOkay, the client is basically skins and a few other knickknacks, and the rest of the changes are in code. One of the most MAJOR changes, which I just added is "tripping".  Because of the major abuse of the strafe jumping bug in quake2 to travel at extremely high rates of speed (as much as 2.5 times normal speeds), I have made it so that if you hit ground while going more than 1.5 times the max running speed, you "trip".  This is a server togglable feature so if people hate it, server admins can turn it off.  SKINS!  Skins are added.  On servers running the new code, just switch to one of the skins that've been installed and it'll automatically check to see if the server has it (so people can download it) and it'll put the correct color skin on ya. We do NOT have a linux or solaris compile yet.  (Where'd ja go smokeya! We need to use you again. :P)Grab the stuff here ... Server ops, you need the v4.5 to v5.0 upgrade, as it has the skins in it.

18.9 megabytes - v1.5 client

3.7 megabytes - v1.45 to v1.5 upgrade

177 kilobytes - v1.5 Win9x, WinNT (server side only)

If those aren't mirrored yet...  Grab em off my FTP (AND IF YOU HAVE A FAST CONNECTION, AND ARE ON IRC, MIRROR THEM FOR OTHER PEOPLE!)  I don't want my cable company yelling at me for having 60k\s downloaded for hours solid. =)

3.7 megabytes - v1.45 to v1.5 upgrade.exe
