October 2nd, 1999v1.6 almost readyOkay, SAD got the code to me on thursday, and I meshed his and Ezrith's updates with my own.  I have a few things left before v1.6 can come out.  Heres a list for ya.

* Lonestar has been running v1.6alpha and says its unstable, I need to get his observations and fix the problem, whatever it is.
* Ezrith's code uses drand48(), which is not a win32 function.  I've created a function that will basically mimic the drand48() call, but when its in use, Ezrith's ball code doesnt seem to modify the flight path at all.  I need to check with Ezrith or Sad and see what the scoop is on the ball code.
* The transparent list seems to place players in a mode where the paintballs will go right through them.  I had it working, but something must have gotten killed.  (Check players not in transparent list, but set with SOLID_TRIGGER on spawn... example, respawners and jail spawners)  I can nail this with a check of 2 clients spawning IN the trans list.  If they're damagable, then I need to manually add clients to the trans list on respawn, instead of a mass add on round begins.

If you understood that last part, you win a cookie.
September 20th, 1999News on v1.6Okay, I know this hasn't exactly worked out like planned, but here's the scoop.

Sad, our resident Linux coder has a few fixes and additions under works for v1.6, and needs to get them fixed up for a release.  When that's all done, we'll combine the Win32 and *IX code and send out a release.  I'm still waiting on a full list of what he's done/plans to get finished so I cant post that for you, but click on the TODO list under my name for my latest changes.
September 14th, 1999HurricanesUm, as some of you know, I live on an island on the east coast, so I will be removing myself from the path of this rather large hurricane.  My computer's going with me of course :)  I may lose my house, but I'll still have what counts ;)  I blabber about it a little more on my site if you care...
Funny DemoI was messing around making a Pball2 demo and doing some crazy stuff.  The result was yoyin' hilarious.  If you want a good laugh, check it out.  If you don't laugh, you suck. :)

September 7th, 1999Update On The WayAlright.  It's been a while since we've had a good release, but there's one in the works.  It has some nice lag/overflow fixes.  A server side cvar, lowlag, can be set to cut down the paint "detail level" (sounds, particles, etc.) and packet size sent to clients.  That way you can still have all the bells and whistles (or thunks and splatters) when you play it on a LAN, but you can set it down for running a 'net server.  There will also be the long awaited Siege Castle and some other yoy.  :)
