March 4th, 1999New MapUgh, I couldn't stand it anymore. Today I shoved all my schoolwork aside and made a map. It's a very small single flag speedball map for pb2x's tourny which I think he's holding on the 10th. I don't know how laggy it'll be, but I wouldn't put too many people in it... Good luck to those who participate :) March 3rd, 1999QERadiant SupportDave (Bargle) put together an entity definition file for all of you who use QERadiant. You can get it in the files section. Thanks Dave! New MonthOops, sorry about that. If you're wondering what happened to the news the past couple days, it was automatically archived. If you missed something, you can check it out here. February 26th, 1999Pearl's Public Match ServerPearlSlam has setup a public match server for everyone to make use of. The IP Address is 12.17.193.36:27920. The login password is failsafe, which will allow anyone to change maps with the rotation command, as well as toggle ffire and autojoin. Please see the servers.txt file located in your \quake2\pball dir for help with these commands.
The server will be up from 7pm to 7am EST each day. Getting the server to stay up all day on the weekends is in the works. If you have questions you can email PearlSlam at pearl@steubing.net. If this server gets abused, it will most likely be taken down permanently. Be good sports and enjoy!
Btw, when the server is started each day, it will have the same name as the No-Elim server. Just look for the server that has the map Battle loaded and that is using port 27920. February 20th, 1999Digital Paint UpdateMany people have asked me why their hasn't been much news recently so I figured I would answer with a news post. Recently both Calrathan and Jitspoe have been very busy with school and have not had much time to work on Paintball related things. I have also been busy with work, and other issues mentioned in my .plan. However I will try to keep up with the news and I am sorry for the brief hiatus. Texas Outlaw has been working on an article for a Paintball Magazine about Digital Paint and emailed it off last night. We will let you know when this article is published. Ivy Girl of Clan Earthquake also showed me an article she wrote for a Mac Quake site. That should also be published in the near future. I would like to thank her and anyone else that is working to promote Digital Paint. We hope to get back into the thick of development soon and release our final version. Until then enjoy flinging the beta paint. February 12th, 1999The New Gnu Knew New Gnus Knew New NewsTounge Twister? Well, its proper grammar, despite what you may think. =)
